Santa Elena Fishing Charters Punta Cana

We had a amazing experience with st. Elena fishing charters on our recent trip to Punta Cana. The boat was well equipped and comfortable, they had drinks for us, and the captain and 1st mate were awesome! We caught multiple fish and had a great time!

Great trips for our kids. 2 dads and 3 boys.Boys caught fish and Elena, Alex, and Capt.Miguel were attentive and explained everything very well. We asked for closer to the shore trip so boys wouldn't get sick and it was perfect. They caught Mahi Mahi, King fish, and Baracudas. Very safe and highly recommended!

I was extremely satisfied with my experience working with Santa Elena Fishing Charters! I reached out to them prior to our 2023 Christmas holiday vacation to the Dominican Republic and Elena was very responsive the entire time and she did a great job of answering my questions and providing the information that I was looking for. I received honest and sincere responses regarding what to expect which I appreciated very much. It was obvious that I was not being sold a bill of goods just to schedule the trip and that I was dealing with someone that cared about delivering the best possible fishing experience. Elena was also direct and serious when communicating with me which I appreciated because we were serious about wanting to catch fish and I could tell they were just as serous about it. Our group included three generations - Grandpa, Son, Son In Law, and two Grandsons (7 and 9). Elena and the crew were passionate about making sure we were all happy and satisfied throughout the entire trip. They were also constantly tending to the lines, switching out bait, changing techniques, and constantly strategizing on what would get the bite. This is what it takes to catch fish and we caught more fish than anyone else according to the radio communication with other boats on the water. On top of this, we got to know Elena and some of the crew and they were all great people with interesting stories and admirable character traits. I have to believe that Santa Elena Fishing Charters is the best choice and I know you will not be disappointed. Sincerely, The Williams Family.

A very well organized trip with excellent captain and crew members! Elena was provided us everything we needed from start to finish. The boat was well maintained, clean, and spacious. The tides can be rougher occasionally, but the boat was stable at all times due to its bigger size. Super close to the resort area as well, so would highly recommend if you’re considering fishing charter trip in Punta Cana.

Captain Miguel was friendly and treated me and our children with kindness. Was not what I expected from a PRIVATE 6-hr charter.You're shown beautiful pictures of the state room and lavatory, but they are, I assure you, off limits... Also the enormous front of the boat (where every boat this size, has seating or pads) is off limits as well.40 foot boat but you're crammed onto 2 small couches that seat 4 people max.Owner is NOT HOSPITABLE and very uninviting to families with several children. No where for them to go!!! We we out there 6+ hours and she advertised 4 would be fish... And 2 snorkeling and grilling out catch in a lagoon.1 hour in, told me I needed to decide right then if we're still doing that (we had caught 0 fish at this point) or keep doing all 6 hours of fishing. Reluctant, after she told me she actually had no snorkel gear, and we hadn't caught anything I chose fishing the full time.We did catch a total of 6... My boys were kind of happy. Even they kept getting scolded by Elena by wanting to see and cheer on their brother(s) but of course you have to stand on the stairs or wait to go down.I asked to get a picture of us with the boys with the catches on the boat and was told (after a clearly annoyed face) "no one had every asked to do that".... HMMMM I see tons on the on the website and Facebook and Google reviews.Oh, even letting them put their shirts in the water to cool them off bc we were baking in sun, wasn't allowed.Bottom line. If catching fish and hanging out and laughing all day with friends and being able to walk around on a boat, or lay out, having drinks (and eating anything beside plain ham and cheese dry) and getting to actually fish and take pictures is your thing..... Don't book this.Not kid-friendly whatsoever.I also let the Hyatt Ziva/Zilara excursion team know about our experience and they said they have never recommended them.Even after a very unenjoyable afternoon with Elena, we still tipped the crew $100.

I went on a fishing charter with my son, Jack, two days ago and it was the worst experience of my life. We were in the group booked by my step-brother and Elena was rude, ignorant and had no regard for our safety. I see that she has challenged my son’s post on Google Review on the basis that she didn’t even know his name. Not surprising as she was far more interested in taking our money, barking orders at us as to where to sit on the boat and then sent me and my sons out in high waves with no regard for safety. The captain of her boat is very nice but she is only in it for the money and will not get you fish and will actually make you worry about whether you will make it back to shore in one piece. I am shocked that she has good reviews anywhere on the internet. If you have children (mine are 13 and 18), do not book with her. You will be worried the whole time.And in response to Elena’s misleading and self-serving reply to my post, I would merely encourage reviewers to look at the honest reviews (not false posts) that have been given by other patrons who had the exact same experience as me and my family, only to have Elena lash out to each one of us and suggest our comments are untruthful. I am not a liar, and neither is my son, and our incredibly negative experience was eerily similar to that described by other patrons. I just wish I had researched this charter company better before handing my money to over to her and putting me and my family at risk.
