Pescando Y Comiendo Punta Cana

Awesome trip with these guys. They did everything they said they would do and then some. They bent over backwards to ensure our comfort and that we had a good time. I definitely highly recommend them. When we went out it was a little ruff but still had a great time fishing was awesome.

Went on a hop on fishing trip and did not catch anything trolling for 4 hours, which I understand happens when fishing, but the one star is more about the lack of effort and preparedness of the crew. They baited their lures with fish to start, and were replacing them regularly after they would get ruined, but they seemed to run out of fish to re-bait after about an hour or so, and just dragged around the baitless lures for hours. When we returned, I noticed two other boats had caught fish, so it wasn't like the fish weren't biting. This is not the A team who will put in the extra effort to put their clients on fish. Also, they barely spoke English, which could be a problem for most Americans.

The fishing trip was average. We only caught one fish, however I understand that is how fishing is sometimes--no fault of the company. However, the trouble arises with the full bar as well as "cook your catch" extra add on. As far as snacks, water, soda, alcohol, etc. that is extremely wrong. We were given a bottle of water and a 2 liter of coca cola to share with 5 other strangers on the boat. I had purchased the cook your catch option, the crew told me it would be free--however after my fish had been cleaned and served the host at the restaurant insisted that we had to pay another $48.Overall, Louis (our deckhand) was awesome. However, the website is not truthful, and do not purchase the cook your catch option.

My Fiancé and I went on a shared trip with pescando y comiendo and had a great trip all around. We ended up catch a mahi mahi and a barracuda, but also lost one of each also. The fishing was slow since it was the off season, but Luis aka the best first mate I’ve ever seen worked harder than anyone I have ever been on a charter with. This is the best value for a fishing charter you can get anywhere! Our mahi mahi was cooked at the restaurant on the beach after and we did 50/50 fried and grilled. Luis and Gio, worked to put us onto fish!! We had a great time trolling the waters, sharing stories over our meal and talking about anything and everything. I highly recommend booking for your next great memory! Thank y’all so much, especially My good friend Luis! Great first mate and an even better individual!

BEST. TRIP. EVER. My wife and I booked a 4 hour private offshore fishing trip and had an excellent captain (Giovanni) and first mate (Luis). We had drinks and snacks provided on board and Luis even cut up fresh pineapple and melon for us. Amazing ocean views and multiple aquatic animal sightings entertained us while the fishing was tough early on, but then we hooked up to the catch of a lifetime with a Marlin Azul! The team worked extremely hard to help us reel in the fish and even had a cameraman on board to record the action. After an hour of fishing battle they put two more troll lines out and we caught a barracuda on the way in. We were later than expected getting back to shore, and our van transport to the resort had left. However, the Pescando y Comiendo coordinator drove us back in his personal SUV- great service! Some key information to know: Download WhatsApp as that is their preferred communication method. Photo/Video packages are $200-$400 USD. Bring tip money for the boat (20% is customary). They also accept Dominican Pesos, which was the only currency I could draw from my resort's ATM.

We had a great time on this trip! The waters were rough but the deck did a great job to give us tips on avoiding sickness (we didn't get sick but they were ready to help). I did a lot of research before I booked a fishing trip and this seemed to be a pretty good deal and the other reviews were encouraging. They escorted us from the taxi to the shop and then to the boat. We caught 10 mahi and on our half-day trip. Louis and Manuel were awesome on the boat and gave us some awesome memories of catching big fish. I would totally recommend this excursion... you won't find a better price or a better team!
